My type of party. I'd probably meet a lot of good matches there. Problem is, I think as of last year I might be a different sign. I don't even know. Guess I'll always be a Pisces at heart no matter what.
Ironic
A large box of cigarettes. The brand? Long Life. Ironic.
Soho Club. Luohu, Shenzhen
(Sorry for the bad picture. I'm in a club and the box belongs to someone else, so I only got one chance to snap a picture and it failed.)
Busy morning on the metro
At Shopping Park metro stop. Shenzhen.
A Chinese landscape sink
Random restaurant. Nanshan, Shenzhen
It's not everyday you ask, "where did you buy those Legos" and the answer is, "Denver International Airport."
All the way from my hometown! Totally amazing. Makes me miss my big tub of Legos. Mom, are they still downstairs?
The NHL's future Yao Ming?
Coastal City Mall. Nanshan, Shenzhen, China
There's a nice outdoor Starbucks less than two blocks away from my apartment and I've never been
What's wrong with me? Pictures from last night.
Futian. Shenzhen, China
Teddy bear gloves
Are they pandas? Look like panda lambs.
Futian. Shenzhen, China
Breakfast options on the way to class
I ended up getting an egg pancake wrap (煎饼果子) from the first guy pictured. Was 50 cents. Not sure if my Chinese is correct.
On my way to see the movie "Love"
No idea what to expect.
Addicted to technology
From left to right: phone, phone, phone, phone, book, bored.
Repeat the sequence above 1000 times and you have a typical ride in the Shenzhen metro.
More matte: blue Audi "S5"
Either this is the world's first sportsback "S5", or it's clever use of rebadging.
Either Subaru is testing their rally car on Chinese streets or someone spent a lot of money making an exact copy
It even looked like it had been previously driven on a rally stage.
Futian. Shenzhen, China
I want to join this morning class
FYI - Those are swords, not lightsabers.
North Shenzhen, China
34 non-Chinese films can now be distributed and shown each year!
Under previous Chinese law, only 20 non-Chinese films could be shown in Chinese theaters each year. This new deals increases the number by 14. It's a interesting read how quickly the deal finally came together.
By the way, I can't imagine the chaos that will hit theaters when Titanic 3D comes to China. Every single Chinese person can hum Celine Dion's iconic song and it might be the only movie for some time that has a chance to break Avatar's Chinese box office record. Near... Far... Wherever You Are... I Believe... that I'll be seeing this movie.
